초록 : 

  Since the invention of the microscope, we have been able to see what is going on in the world that we cannot see with our eyes, which has accelerated progress in many areas of science. In this talk, I will briefly review the history and types of microscopes and present the various imaging techniques that have been widely used in microscopy. I will also introduce the light-matter interactions, including Rayleigh scattering, Raman scattering, fluorescence, and photoluminescence, and give examples of how optical microscopy has been used to measure and analyze the properties of the luminescent nanomaterials. Finally, I introduce a method for quantitative force measurement in nanoscale based on atomic force microscopy (AFM) and present studies of the viscoelastic properties of the nanoscopic water column.
